Ingredients
Method- 200 g Cheddar
- 65 ml dry white wine
- 1 T mustard
- salt, to taste
- 4 slices of ciabatta
Method
IngredientsPreheat the grill to 220ºC.
Blend the Cheddar, dry white wine, mustard and salt in a food processor to form a paste.
Spread liberally onto the slices of ciabatta and grill for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
Cook's note: if you don't want to use wine, it can be substituted with chicken stock or consommé, ginger ale, white grape juice, white wine vinegar or the liquid from canned mushrooms. Here are some more tips on substituting alcohol in a recipe.
