Ingredients
Method- 8 slices white bread
- 2 T butter
- 1 cup Woolworths lemon curd
- 2 cups cream
- ½ cup milk
- 4 free-range eggs
- 50 g sugar
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1 vanilla paste
- 1 T brown sugar
Method
Ingredients- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Butter 4 slices of bread on one side and spread with lemon curd. (Make your own lemon curd with this recipe.) Sandwich with another piece of bread and cut in half diagonally. Pack the sandwiches tightly into a greased baking dish.
- Whisk together the cream, milk, eggs, sugar, lemon zest and vanilla until well combined. Pour the mixture over the bread. Sprinkle over the brown sugar, add the vanilla pod and bake for 25 minutes, until the mixture is set and puffed up.
