Cucumber salad recipes are going viral all over TikTok. This smoked trout version mimics a bagel filling with cream cheese, capers, red onion and Everything bagel seasoning. Pack a jar of this for your picnic, and you’ve got a lox bagel ready to roll!

1 cucumber, sliced
200 g Woolworths smoked trout ribbons, roughly chopped
1 red onion, finely chopped
1 T capers
250 g cream cheese, whipped
½ t Woolworths sriracha chilli seasoning
½ t Woolworths Everything bagel seasoning

Method

Ingredients

1. Layer the ingredients in 3–4 jars starting with the cucumber, then adding the remaining ingredients. Seal and chill.

2. Once ready to serve, shake the jar to combine the ingredients. Enjoy as is or on Woolworths : oat sandwich thins or in a wholewheat pita. The salad is also great smeared onto toasted sandwich thins.
