Ingredients

Method
  • 75 g butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 150 g exotic mixed mushrooms
  • 150 g portabellini mushrooms, halved
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 400 g sirloin steak

Melt butter in a large frying pan. Add the crushed garlic and a few sage leaves and cook until the garlic is lightly coloured.

Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, then add 2 T olive oil.

Stir in the cream and lemon juice. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.

Season and serve with pan-seared free-range sirloin steak.

Cook's note: Find out how to cook perfect steak, and if it's free-range steak, it requires a slightly adjusted cooking method.
