Ingredients

Method
  • 2 cups water
  • a pinch salt
  • 375 g maize meal
  • amasi, for serving

1. Bring the water and salt to the in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat to medium and add the maize meal. Use a fork to stir until crumbly.

2. Cover with a lid and leave simmering for 15 minutes.

3. Use a fork to fluff the pap and serve with the amasi.

Cook's note: This is a delicious meal of maize meal and sour milk that can be enjoyed any time of the day – breakfast, lunch or supper.
