Ingredients

Method
    For the zabaglione:

  • 3 large free-range egg yolks
  • 3 T caster sugar
  • 1/4 cup Amaretto liqueur
  • Woolworths mince pies, for serving

1. Whisk together the egg yolks and sugar in a large glass bowl until well combined.

2. Place over a saucepan of simmering water – don’t allow the bottom of the bowl to touch the water – and whisk until the mixture thickens and holds its shape in thick streaks or ribbons. Slowly add the Amaretto and whisk until thick.

Serve immediately with warm mince pies.
