Basil pesto fusilli
Basil pesto and pasta is an instant two-ingredient dinner. Try a curly pasta like fusilli or fiorelli with pesto – the sauce will cling beautifully in all the twists and turns.
Ingredients
Method- 125 g tub Woolworths fresh basil pesto
- 250 g Woolworths bronze die fusilli pasta, cooked
- 30 g grated medium fat hard cheese, plus extra for sprinkling
- ½–1 cup pasta water
- fresh basil, for serving
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
Ingredients1. Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of generously salted boiling water until al dente.
2. Reserve ½–1 cup of the pasta cooking water before draining.
3. Add the hot, drained pasta to the pesto and toss to coat, season to taste and sprinkle with grated hard cheese.
4. Add ½ cup of the reserved pasta water, toss to combine and serve immediately sprinkled with fresh basil and more grated hard cheese.
