Ingredients

Method
  • 300 g Woolworths peeled prawns
  • 1 T Woolworths Asian seafood paste
  • 1 spring onion, chopped
  • 1 green chilli, seeded and chopped
  • 1 red chilli, seeded and chopped
  • 1 t garlic, minced
  • 1 t ginger, minced
  • 4 slice white sandwich bread
  • 100 g white sesame seeds
  • 100 g black sesame seeds
  • 3 cups sunflower oil, for frying
  • Woolworths Asian hoisin sauce, for serving
  • Woolworths Asian chilli Szechuan pepper oil, for serving
  • coriander, to garnish

1. Blend the prawns, laksa paste, spring onion, garlic, ginger and chillies to make a smooth paste.

2. Spead a generous amount onto each slice of bread and slice in half diagonally.

3. Place the sesame seeds on a plate and dip each slice of bread, prawn side down, into the sesame seeds to coat.

4. Heat the oil to 180°C and place the bread prawn side down into the oil. Fry for 2–3 minutes on each side until crispy and cooked through.

5. Serve with the sauces and garnish with coriander.
