Sardine pasta

Ingredients
Method
- 2 T olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 red chilli, finely chopped
- 1 T tomato paste
- 1 x 410 g canned peeled and diced tomatoes
- 200 g Woolworths Rosa tomatoes, halved
- 2 x 106 g cans Woolworths smoked sardines, drained
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 400 g fettuccine, cooked al dente
- 2 T capers, fried (optional)
Method
Ingredients
1 Heat the olive oil in a pan over a medium heat. Fry the garlic and chilli for 30 seconds. Add the tomato paste and canned tomatoes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Add the Rosa tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Carefully stir through the sardines. Season with salt.
3. Serve over the pasta. If using capers, sprinkle with black pepper.
