Toum (garlic sauce)

Toum is a Lebanese garlic sauce that you can use as you please, but Teddy Zaki, Great SA Bake-Off alumnus and owner of Just Teddy eatery in Joburg, recommends having it with shish tawook (marinated chicken kebabs).
Ingredients
Method- 2 T water
- 2–3 T Woolworths tahini
- 1 clove garlic, crushed (optional)
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice
- sea salt, to taste
- fresh parsley large bunch, chopped
Method
IngredientsStir a little water into the tahini until soft and creamy. Add the garlic, lemon juice and salt. Check the seasoning, then add the parsley. Serve with shish tawook.
