Celebrate summer at La Motte wine estate

La Motte wine estate in Franschhoek boasts a noble heritage of wine-making, which started when vines were first planted on the farm in 1752. The Rupert family has continued this proud tradition and the estate now comprises, amongst other things, the wine cellar, a museum and the stylish Pierneef à La Motte restaurant.

Since opening in 2010, Pierneef à La Motte restaurant has been renowned for its exceptional cuisine, innovative wine experience and authentic Cape winelands hospitality.

Newly appointed executive chef Eric Bulpitt is embracing global culinary trends and shining a new light on heritage cuisine. The sophisticated à la carte menu showcases seasonal, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients, paired with wines from the estate’s cellar, as well as those from other South African and international farms.

A summer garden sharing menu will be introduced in October allowing guests to make the most of the estate’s beautiful grounds in a relaxed environment.
