Mixing the best with Fever-Tree

If three-quarters of your drink is the mixer, make sure you mix with the best.

Over the past few years the world has undergone a gin revolution… and a new way of thinking about drinks in general. Of course, to create the perfect G&T you need a quality tonic water that accentuates the botanicals of your chosen gin.

Fever-Tree’s ethos is that “if three-quarters of your drink is the mixer, mix with the best”. And in their quest to create the world’s first premium tonic water, the founders of Fever-Tree embarked on a journey to explore some of the most remote places on earth, sourcing only the finest ingredients to create individually crafted tonics that complement the varied flavours of gin worldwide. Since its launch in 2004, Fever-Tree has set the benchmark for exceptional tonics and in 2020, once again dominated in the Drinks International Annual Brands Report by being voted as the Best Selling and Top Trending tonic brand globally.

During this challenging time of #SocialSolidarity and #SelfIsolation you deserve the best, so why not mix with the best!?

In South Africa, Fever-Tree’s varietals come in five flavour profiles – Indian, Refreshingly Light, Mediterranean (perfect for citrus and herbaceous gins), Elderflower (great for fresh and floral gins) and Aromatic (pairing well with juniper rich and robust gins). The use of premium ingredients means that soft spring water is sourced from rural England; handpicked Elderflowers from Gloucestershire, England; quinine from the last remaining plantation of original fever trees in the Democratic Republic of Congo; Angostura bark from South America; lemon, thyme and rosemary from the shores of the Mediterranean; and vanilla from Madagascar. The Refreshingly Light varietal also uses natural fruit sugars to offer a low-calorie alternative.

Pairing Fever-Tree tonic waters with your favourite SA craft gin is easy. For instance, Triple Three Estate Distillery distils three different craft gins with perfectly balanced flavours.

Just Juniper is a smooth gin distilled from juniper berries. A fresh and zesty citrus gin, Triple Three’s Citrus Infusion provides notes of juniper, orange, rhubarb and lemongrass. African Botanicals is a blend of seven botanicals including the flora of the Western Cape.

You can get your hands on Fever-Tree’s premium tonic waters at Woolworths stores, or, more likely at this stage, delivered to your door when you order online.

Both Fever-Tree and Triple Three are also available at leading liquor retailers and online stores such as Norman Goodfellows.
