Ingredients
Method
- 1 cup Woolworths castor sugar
- 2 T Woolworths finely ground cinnamon
- 1 x 6 Woolworths extra spicy hot cross buns
- ½ cup Woolworths salted butter, melted For the sauce
- 250 ml cream
- 300 g Woolworths FANTASTICAL™ Fairy Eggs
Method
Ingredients
1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C, if needed. Mix the castor sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Set aside.
2. Slice the Woolworths Extra Spicy Hot Cross Buns in half and each half into three, to make small soldiers.
3. Brush liberally with the melted butter and toss in cinnamon sugar. Crisp in the air fryer for approx. 5–7 minutes.
4. Make the sauce in a small pot by heating the cream until boiling point. Remove from the heat and add the Woolworths FANTASTICAL™ Fairy Eggs. Stir until they have melted. If need be, return to the heat for 1 minute, then remove, whilst continuously stirring.
5. Lavishly dip the warm hot cross bun churros into the sauce (reserve the leftovers for ice cream sauce, to drizzle over waffles or French toast).
