Salted chocolate-cinnamon fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 x 385 g condensed milk can
  • 2 t ground cinnamon
  • 1 t Woolworths vanilla powder
  • 400 g dark chocolate
  • 3 T butter
  • flaked sea salt, to taste
  • 100 g pecan nuts, chopped (optional)

Method

Place all the ingredients in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, ensuring the water does not touch the bowl.

Allow the ingredients to melt, stirring occasionally.

Pour into a large dish and chill for 4–6 hours, or until firm.

Cut into squares before serving, or wrap up for gifts.

Cook’s note: Ensure you make extra of this rich, creamy fudge - otherwise your family will never forgive you.

Vanilla adds a sweet floral aroma when used in sweet dishes, and depth to savoury ones.
