1. Gluten-free banana bread with caramel sauce
Banana bread will always be iconic, and thanks to Woolworths' gluten-free all-purpose four, you can make a gluten-free version easily. This recipe by Zandile Finxa is made extra special by using brown butter for a fragrant, nutty flavour. Zandile makes it in a cast-iron skillet, but you can bake it in a loaf tin if you prefer.

2. Ultimate flourless chocolate cake
This cake is even better the next day, perfect for a make-ahead special occasion. According to Hannah Lewry, it’s very important to fold the egg whites in lightly and carefully, otherwise you'll be left with a dense flat cake, and a lot of disappointment.

4. Torta Caprese al limone
Some bakes are traditionally gluten-free, and this torta Caprese al limone is a prime example. This Italian cake is an OG gluten-free almond-lemon cake. Abigail added white chocolate into the mix to sweeten the deal. She also serves it with roasted strawberries and crême fraîche, but you can enjoy the cake as is or with your favourite fruit.

5. Gluten-free almond tart
This recipe is Abigail's take on the famous '70s "impossible pie" – a cross between a jiggly custard and a pudding that was always made in a Pyrex dish. It's also a blender bake, so it's super-easy to make with just 15 minutes of prep time. The piped cream is optional, but definitely worth it.

6. Gluten-free lemon-and-almond cakes
These glorious little mouthfuls are gluten-free and contain no added sugar. If sugar isn’t a concern, use brown or white sugar instead of xylitol, and any nut flour will do. Top with fresh or frozen fruit or nuts. They also freeze really well.

8. Citrus-and-poppy seed almond cake
This make look really impressive, but according to Clement Pedro, it's one of one of the easiest flourless cakes you can bake. He adds that you’ll always get a decadently dense and flavoursome result. You can serve it with whipped cream, ice cream or plain yoghurt.
