Woolworths’ rich French onion soup is made even more indulgent thanks to Grana Padano. Top sliced baguette with the cheese, pop into the oven until golden and toasty for the perfect quick meal on a cold winter’s day.
Ingredients
Method
- 1 x XX g jar Woolworths French onion soup
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1 cm slices
- 4 T butter
- 50 g Grana Padano, finely grated
Method
Ingredients
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Heat the soup according to package instructions.
- Place the sliced baguette on a baking tray and spread with a little butter. Sprinkle liberally with Grana Padano.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes, or until crisp and golden.
- Spoon the soup into bowls and serve with the cheesy baguette.
Cook’s note: For a less traditional twist, top the soup with Grana Padano crisps. Place small mounds of finely grated Grana Padano on a lined tray, spaced 3 cm apart, and bake at 200°C for 5–7 minutes until crisp and golden.
