There is no better snack I enjoy more than frozen grapes –- well, almost. In just five minutes, you can make the most deliciously refreshing grape sorbet –- perfect for any hot summer’s day! Using whole grapes, instead of fruit juice, packs an additional nutritional kick that makes it even more better to indulge in.
Ingredients
Method
- 1 kg Woolworths Seedless Red Grapes or Woolworths Seedless White Grapes
- 1 kg Woolworths Castor Sugar
- ¼ cup Maizena Cornflour
- 1 T lemon, juice and zest
- 10 g Fresh mint (optional)
Method
Ingredients
1. Wash the grapes, remove the stems and in a freezer- friendly container or bag, freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
2. Into a food processor, add the frozen grapes and the remaining ingredients (castor sugar, cornflour, lemon juice and zest, and salt).
3. Pulse in the processor, scraping sides intermittently, until smooth.
4. Serve immediately or place in a freezer safe, airtight container and store until needed.
Chef's note: The cornflour acts as a thickening starch, that also provides a light texture, but you can make this recipe without it, and it will still be a delicious final finish!
