Lampante olive oil (sometimes misleadingly labelled ‘100%’, ‘pure’, ‘light’ or ‘extra-light’ olive oil) is an inferior refined oil that is usually carbon filtered and bleached to remove defects, which results in a bland taste and an absence of antioxidants.
