- 8 whole red peppers

Preheat the oven to 230°C. Place the peppers on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes, turning once or twice, until starting to char.
Place in a brown paper bag, twist closed and leave to cool.
Halve, peel, seed and halve again.
