  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Oil, for frying
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 free-range egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 T tomato sauce
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 hamburger rolls, halved
  • Watercress, for serving
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes, grilled
  • Roast potato wedges, for serving

Cooking Instructions

Preheat the oven to 220ºC.

Gently fry the onion in oil, then mix with the mince, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire and tomato sauces.

Season to taste.

Shape the mixture into four pattie and fry or grill until cooked through.

Top each halved roll with a patty, watercress and grilled tomatoes.

Serve with potato wedges.
