Easy to cook: Chicken curry
What’s for dinner, you ask? Could we interest you in Woolies’ new Easy to Cook chicken curry? Made with skinless drum and thigh portions, the Malay-spiced one-dish wonder is mild enough for the kids to tuck into with gusto, but with enough layers of aromatic flavour to keep your taste buds interested.
It takes just over an hour in the oven – long enough for you to catch up on an episode of your favourite series, or even a quick snooze on the couch.
Serve the chicken curry with a quick rice pilau made by tossing a can of drained lentils through hot basmati rice and seasoning it with cumin, chopped spring onion and some fried onions.
Easy to cook: Sous-vide chicken with bbq glaze
Alternatively, allow us to tempt you with another Easy to Cook addition: free-range sous-vide chicken with a BBQ glaze. The butterflied bird has been vacuum-packed and cooked in a water bath until succulent and tender, so all that’s needed from you is to glaze and finish it off in the oven until bronzed and sticky. How’s that for taking care of dinner?
Serve the sous-vide chicken taco-style with flour tortillas, cream cheese and a zesty coleslaw made by tossing lots of chopped coriander, shredded red cabbage, lime zest, lime juice, smashed garlic, chilli and honey.
