The Woolworths fruit aisle is overflowing with seasonal fruit, and cherries are finally in season! What better way to use up a tub of cherries than making refreshing summer drinks everyone can enjoy? These mocktails are alcohol-free so there's need to worry about adjusting the recipes for non-alcoholic guests or the kids. Whether you're hosting a pool party, a New Year's Eve gathering or just want to cool down in the hot weather, these cherry cocktails will definitely become your new favourite sippers.

1. For the kids: Shirley Temple floats (cherry floats)

If you're unfamiliar with this mocktail named after the iconic 1930s child star, it contains ginger ale and grenadine with a squeeze of lemon or lime topped with Maraschino cherries. We've put a twist on what is often referred to as the world's first mocktail by adding scoops of vanilla ice cream and swapping grenadine for cherry syrup and ginger ale for lemonade. It's creamy, fizzy, and a fun drink they can make for their friends during school holidays.

2. Poolside sipping: cherry coolers

This easy mocktail proves that delicious doesn't require too many ingredients and techniques. Simply roast cherries to make a sweet, tart syrup and top with rose-flavoured sparkling water. If you want a minimal-effort drink for this festive season and summer, this is the mocktail to make.

3. Ring in the new year: cherry poptails

Are you starting to plan your New Year's Eve party? These cherry poptails are a must! Cherry popsicles are topped with sparkling non-alcoholic rosé to make fun mocktails that will be a nostalgic twist on an adult drink. If you don't have popsicle moulds, ice trays will do.
