Upcoming reader event: The Nederburg TASTE Table – SOLD OUT

You’re invited to the Nederburg TASTE Table on 28 November, when Nederburg and Woolworths TASTE will team up to bring you a food lover’s event to remember.

The hot-right-now trend of fermentation will be the focus of the day, which is being hosted at the Culinary Table restaurant in Lanseria.

So what’s on the schedule? First up is an educational workshop in which expert baker Penelope Zeffert will teach you how to make artisanal bread using wild yeast, Woolworths TASTE food editor
Abigail Donnelly will demonstrate the ins and outs of pickling, and Jo and Brian Dick from Cheese Gourmet will host a cheese tasting. To end, Nederburg white-wine maker Natasha Boks will explain the effect of wine fermentation to guests.

Then, the second part of the day will be a showstopping lunch with wines from the award-winning Nederburg’s Heritage Heroes collection. You’ll also go home with a goodie bag worth R390 including all the foods you’ve made, a bottle of Nederburg wine, cheese, a cheeseboard and a bread-making kit.

The Nederburg TASTE Table takes place on 28 November from 9 am to 3 pm at The Culinary Table, Lanseria Centre, Pelindaba Road, Lanseria. Tickets cost R390 per person.
