5 bright meals with broccoli to make this week

Broccoli is one of the most versatile of greens available, and is often the virtuous element to an otherwise comforting meal. We think it’s time to give this bushy green the respect it deserves, not only as a hearty and wholesome addition, but as the star of the show.

Steamed, blanched or sauteed, these bright and bushy morsels are delicious served simply with a drizzle of olive oil, diced into pasta, swimming in a brothy dish or raw in a hearty salad.

Did you know? Broccoli was created by crossing cauliflower and pea seeds in ancient Rome.
