Rice bowls are all the rage right now and it’s easy to see why. Rice offers a blank canvas for an array of delicious ingredients that can be tailored to your taste buds. Our top pick for a rice bowl? Venison frikkadels in a Durban-style curry sauce. And to make it even quicker to prepare, we used Woolies’ fully cooked rice.

Woolworths venison frikkadels are made with coarsely minced free-range venison – offering a rich, earthy, game-meat flavour – and paired with a Durban-style curry – a vibrant, red-hued, hot and spicy gravy – the result is something totally unexpected but completely delicious. Enjoy it over rice for the most comforting warm bowl or tuck into a mini bunny chow for a wholly and truly South African dish.
