Beef burger with blue cheese sauce

Ingredients

Method
  • 1 kg lean, free-range beef mince
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 t ground coriander
  • 1 t black pepper
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 free-range egg
  • 2 T breadcrumbs
  • 1 T Worcester sauce
  • 2 T canola oil
  • 250 ml cream
  • 100 g blue cheese
  • 4 burger buns

1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

2. Mix the mince with the onion, coriander, pepper, salt, egg, breadcrumbs and Worcester sauce. Divide the mixture into 4 equal patties.

3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties for 4 - 5 minutes on each side.

4. Finish in the oven for 5 minutes.

5. To make the sauce: melt the cream and blue cheese over a low heat.

6. Halve the burger buns, then top with the patties and spoon over the blue cheese sauce.
