This TikTok trend is deceptively simple, but surprisingly beautiful! The “custard” is made with just three ingredients: yoghurt, honey and egg – but you can get creative with the toppings. Depending on which direction you take it in, this could either be a quick breakfast or a decadent dessert.
- ½ cup Greek yoghurt
- 1 free-range egg
- 1 T honey
- 4 slices honey-and-oat bread (or your choice of bread)
- For the toppings:
- Chocolate chips
- Extra honey
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Whisk together the yoghurt, egg and honey.
2. Place the bread on a baking tray and press the middle flat using the back of a spoon. Top with spoonfuls of the custard, dot with the toppings and bake for 10–15 minutes until golden and crisp.
3. Top with extra honey and toppings of your choice and serve.
