- 4 T canola oil
- 1 onion, finely sliced
- 2 g sage
- 4 slices baguette
- ½ cup mozzarella, grated
- 1 x 540 g jar Woolworths French onion soup
Method
Ingredients
1. Heat the canola oil in a small saucepan until very hot. Fry the onion until golden and crispy, about 5–8 minutes. Fry the sage leaves for 30 seconds or until crisp. Drain on kitchen paper.
2. Place the baguette onto a baking tray and top with the grated cheese. Grill for 3–5 minutes, or until melted and golden brown.
3. Heat the soup according to package instructions and serve topped with the onions and sage, and the cheesy croutons on the side.
