Old-school banana split

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 t honey
  • 1 T butter
  • Woolworths vanilla flavoured dairy ice cream
  • Woolworths Tin Roof dairy ice cream
  • 4 Woolworths vanilla flavoured doughnut pops
  • 100 g flaked almonds, toasted and chopped
  • 140 g Woolworths chocolate dessert sauce
  • 2 chocolate flakes
  • 4 cherries, for garnish

1. Keeping the skin on, slice the bananas in half. Caramelise honey and butter over a medium heat. Peel off the skin and place in 2 shallow oval bowls.

2. Scoop a large ball each of vanilla and tin roof ice cream and place on top of the bananas.

3. Roll the vanilla doughnut pops in the almonds and add to the bowls. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, scatter over the remaining almonds and garnish with chocolate flake and cherries.
