Penne with mushroom, bacon and ricotta




This is one of the easy recipes that does not require you to spend too much time in the kitchen.

Ingredients
Method
- 2 T olive oil
- 2 T butter
- 250 g bacon, chopped
- 250 g mushrooms, chopped or torn
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 x 400 g can diced tomatoes
- 1 T tomato paste
- 1 t fish sauce, or to taste
- 250 g ricotta
- 1 T dill, chopped
- 12 basil leaves
- 400 g penne, cooked al dente, for serving
Method
Ingredients
1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large frying pan over a gentle heat. Add the bacon and cook for about 5 minutes until lightly golden.
2. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic, tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook for 5 minutes, then season with fish sauce.
3. Toss in the ricotta and basil, then the penne.
