Ingredients

  • 500 g frozen medium-cut potato chips
  • 300 g frozen onion rings
  • 4 steak-and-kidney pies
  • 1 cup ready-made traditional gravy
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200ºC.

The chips and onion rings can be bought from Woolworths, or follow the links and make your own at home. Place the chips and onion rings on baking trays then bake until crisp and golden.

Just before serving, place the pies in the oven to reheat for 5 to 10 minutes, until warmed through, then heat the gravy according to the package instructions.

Divide among four plates and serve the onion rings as a side dish.

Generously spoon over the warm gravy then season to taste. Woolworths' ready made gravy is legendary, but you can also easily make your own gravy at home.

Cook’s tip: Try Woolies' pepper-steak pies, Cornish pasties or roast-chicken pies with frozen prepared potato wedges. If you are up to it, make your own pies at home.
