- 2 cups water
- 200 g sugar
- 6 peaches
- 1 vanilla pod, split
- 3 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- 5 cloves
Dissolve the sugar in the water in a small saucepan over a medium heat.
Using a sharp knife, make a small cross in the base of the peaches
Add the the peaches and spices to the saucepan.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the peaches from the pan and reduce the liquid to form a syrup.
