- 4 big scoops Woolworths Extremely Creamy Madagascan vanilla ice cream
- 4 cups Italian filterground coffee, freshly brewed
- Biscotti or amaretti biscuits, for serving
Place a scoop of ice cream into 4 cups and pour over the hot coffee.
Drizzle with a tot of almond liqueur if you like. Serve with the biscuits.
Cook’s note: If you have time, place the cups containing the ice cream in the freezer for 30 minutes before pouring over the coffee. The biscuits can also be crumbled over.
“Affogato” means “drowned” in Italian. This recipe is the classic version but if you want to experiment, use coffee, chocolate or stracciatella ice cream.
