  • 1-2 t ground turmeric
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt, a pinch
  • Cinnamon, a pinch
  • 1-2 T honey
  • 4 cups sweetened almond milk
  1. Add the ground turmeric, the lemon zest, salt, cinnamon and honey to warm sweetened almond milk.
  2. Bring to a slow simmer and adjust the flavours to taste. Simmer over a low heat for 10 minutes, but do not allow the mixture to boil.
  3. Divide between 4-6 small glasses. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of turmeric if you like.

Cook’s note: Use cow’s milk instead of almond milk if you prefer.
