8 mozzarella recipes that prove it’s the ultimate cheese
Everyone knows that if you want the most epic cheese-pull you need to use mozzarella! But this humble cheese is so much more than stretchy. It’s versatile, works with a variety of flavours and is a key ingredient in some of our favourite dishes. To prove mozzarella’s supremacy, we’ve rounded up 8 dishes where the cheese shines best. The only question is, what will you make first?
1. Broccoli, cheese and potato croquettes
Broccoli-and-potato croquettes are an amazing snack, but when you add mozzarella into the mix they become the stuff of legends. With fried potatoes and melted cheese, how could they not? These are easier to make than you think, thanks to Khanya Mzongwana's easy recipe. They're also a great way to get the veggie-haters in your life to eat some broccoli. Plus, you can deep-fry them from frozen, so be sure to make a big batch and freeze some for when you're feeling snackish, or when loadshedding is approaching.
