- 25 g butter, softened
- 1 T maple syrup
- 2 T dark rum
- orange peel, a long strip
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 T boiling water
Beat the butter with the maple syrup. Add the rum and orange peel. Pour over the boiling water, whisking until blended.
Place the cinnamon stick and orange peel in the glass. Pour over the hot rum mixture. Stir using the cinnamon and serve while still warm.
Cook's note: Don’t let the butter put you off; this rich, warm drink tastes like pudding.
