Mac and cheese with stuffing

  • 120 g butter
  • 70 g flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups cream
  • ½ t ground nutmeg
  • 200 g mozzarella, grated
  • 200 g Cheddar, grated
  • 450 g macaroni, cooked
  • salt, to taste
  • white pepper, to taste
  • 200 g leftover turkey stuffing

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Add the milk and bay leaves and whisk until thickened.

2. Add the cream, nutmeg and three-quarters of the cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted. Stir in the pasta and season.

3. Place the stuffing in the bottom of a large ovenproof dish. Spoon over the pasta and scatter with the remaining cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
