  • 1 x 400 ml sachet Woolworths béchamel sauce
  • 500 g leftover gammon, cubed or sliced
  • 3 leftover bread, cubed
  • 100 g Emmenthaler cheese, grated
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • honey, for serving
  • chives, to garnish

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Spoon the béchamel sauce onto a large ovenproof serving platter, top with the gammon, bread and cheese, season and bake until golden brown and bubbling. Drizzle with honey and garnish with chives. If you like, serve with soft-boiled eggs and hot coffee.

Cook's note: You can add any leftover meat or vegetable to this bake. Assemble it the night before and bake for 15 minutes the next day. Pop the cork on a bottle of bubbly while you wait.
