Ingredients

  • 1 shot quality gin
  • 2 1/2 shots sake
  • 1/2 shot Grand Marnier liqueur
  • ice cubes
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced, to garnish

Method

Stir all ingredients and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with three thin slices of cucumber.

TASTE’s take:

Sake is made in ancient Japanese breweries according to age-old traditions. The alcohol that results from fermented rice, sake can have a complex array of subtle flavours, from mandarin to melon and more earthy aromas.

It teams well with botanical or herbal additions and is a sensitive alcohol that prefers to be stirred rather than shaken.
